Even Fjord 36 open-Designer Patrick Banfield did not want to believe it. His calculations had been around 36 knots top speed. The boat, as radical as the bigger sister Fjord 40 Open, showed exciting speed. And a lot more than predicted.
At tests for a group of international boat test journalists on the windy and choppy Mediterranean near the HanseGroup Service Center MYSC (France) the 2 Volvo D 4 with each 300 HP pushed the Fjord 36 to 44 knots!
As well maneuvering the boat with DPH drive and joystick had been easy. The seaworthiness and performance are perfect. The new Fjord 36 open with its 600 HP does not overcharge her driver in any situation. She is nice and of a good nature.
